Cancer sucks! Can CBD help?

Cancer sucks! Can CBD help?

Cancer. It sucks. The factors that cause the uncontrolled growth and rapid cell division are not completely known, but evidence has shown it is due to multiple things. Cell receptors on the outside of the cell are altered, RNA viruses like Epstein Barr Virus (mono) infect us and change the DNA inside our cells, and multiple factors like inflammation can keep the immune system from recognizing and killing the cancer cells.

Multiple studies have shown that certain dietary constituents can prevent different forms of cancer. Cells have a communication signaling pathway, and recent studies have focused on how certain nutrients affect the cells ability to communicate with one another. Cellular signaling often has issues in many diseases, including cancer, and research has started focusing on how phytochemicals (biologically active compounds found in plants) can be used to help prevent cancer.

Anti-inflammatory phytochemicals have been highly researched, since inflammation and cancer are closely associated. The chemopreventive (prevention) effects of anti-inflammatory plant chemicals has been linked to their ability to inhibit abnormally high COX-2 activity. COX-2 is involved in producing the oncogenic (cancer causing) Prostaglandin E2 (pge2), which helps cancer cells invade the immune system. PGE2 is also involved in promoting pain perception in the spinal cord and nerve pain pathways. CBD was tested in mice to determine if it would decrease PGE2, which decrease inflammation, pain, and helps to prevent cancer. CBD was found to decrease the amounts of PGE2, and experiments carried out on cell lines in vitro and on animal models in vivo have shown that phytocannabinoids, endocannabinoids, synthetic cannabinoids and their analogues can lead to inhibition of the growth of many tumor types, exerting cytostatic and cytotoxic neoplastic effect on cells thereby negatively influencing neo-angiogenesis and the ability of cells to metastasize.

Using CBD in an oral form can help to decrease inflammation and pain perception.

She encourages her clients to empower themselves with education on living their best life. She identifies pain points and gets to the root of the problem rather than dealing with the symptoms.

When Jesica's dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer and told he had less than a year to live, modern medicine had no way of helping. Jesica was not in the habit of just letting that happen without doing anything about it. So she started looking into alternative medicines, including CBD. Don, her father, is still here, over 2 years later. They believe CBD and the other natural treatments are the reason he is still thriving.
